In 1986, Larry was one of the Bering Memorial UMC members who participated in the inception and formation of the HIV/AIDS support groups here at Bering. His own life partner died of AIDS in 1990.
Larry joined the BSN staff in August 2011. As chaplain, he ministers to residents of Omega House, Bering Omega’s eight bed hospice. He also serves as chaplain to BSN members and ministers to those who are hospitalized and home-bound.
Other responsibilities include facilitating and assisting in leading the Wednesday night Bering Spiritual Support Group. He is a certified grief recovery specialist and leads grief recovery groups two or three times a year. Larry also serves on the staff of Bering Memorial United Methodist Church in the pastoral care area.
Educated at Baylor University where he majored in Religion, Larry is a licensed minister.
